Meet our instructors.

Guitar & Bass Instructor, Nick Pantano

Nick is the creator of Sound Space and in house luthier. He started playing guitar at 12 years old and has over 25 years of experience on his instrument. He spent six years in private lessons growing up, studying with both Dr. Mathew Dunlap and Dr. Johnathan Dotson, two of the best classical guitar players alive today.

He started playing in bands at 14 years old with his original punk rock band, Tenth Try. Tenth Try went on to open for national touring headliners such as H20, Big Wig and Avoid One Thing.

Nick attended The Atlanta Institute of Music and graduated at the top of his class. He has been teaching music lessons since 2008 in both private and group formats and has an extensive background of playing experience. Most recently he was a member of the local progressive rock band, Sorry No Ferrari.  Nick is available for private lessons for guitar, bass, ukulele, composition, music theory and basic recording techniques.

Guitar and Bass Instructor, David Pritchard

David has been playing the guitar for over 25 years, and performing live in various bands around Atlanta for over 15 years! A graduate of The Atlanta Institute of Music and Media, he is a well rounded player that teaches just about any style and technique. Like all of our instructors, David believes in a fun first approach. He truly has a passion for teaching and helping people find their “lightbulb moments”.

Starting out with saxophone in his school band gave David a solid foundation and understanding of what it takes to get better at any instrument. He picked up the guitar in middle school, which became his primary instrument after high school marching band. His decision to persue a degree in guitar was directly influenced by his desire to teach and it shows in every lesson.

David also works as a recording engineer at Unity Recording in Atlanta, Ga. His knowledge of recording and production teqniques is vast and he loves to share tips with his students. He can teach basic recording techniques, advanced methods for the non beginner and can help you get a better understating of how to record your self at home or what to expect on that first professional recording session.
